HUAYU Compound initiator polyether polyol

Compound Initiator: In the context of polyether polyols, a compound initiator refers to a molecule or mixture of molecules that kick-start the polymerization reaction with the epoxide compound. Initiators are often compounds containing active hydrogen atoms, such as water, amines, or polyols. These initiators react with the epoxide monomers to form reactive intermediates, which then undergo further polymerization to produce the polyether polyol.  Polyether polyols are polymers containing multiple hydroxyl (-OH) groups. They are essential building blocks in the synthesis of polyurethane polymers. Polyether polyols are typically formed through the reaction of an initiator molecule with an epoxide compound, such as ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. These polyols provide the backbone structure for polyurethane polymers.

So, compound initiator polyether polyol essentially means that the polyether polyol is synthesized using a compound initiator rather than a single initiator molecule. This approach may be chosen to achieve specific properties or functionalities in the resulting polyol, such as controlling molecular weight distribution, introducing branching, or incorporating reactive groups for further chemical modification.

Compound initiator polyether polyols are utilized in various industries for the production of polyurethane foams, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers. Their properties can be tailored through careful selection of initiator compounds and reaction conditions to meet the requirements of different applications, such as flexibility, strength, durability, and chemical resistance.

Features: This grade of polyether is a compound initiator polyether polyol with balanced properties, which is a basic type of polyether polyol.

Applications: It is suitable for various fields such as pipeline materials, board materials, spray materials, wood-like materials, and fillers.

Packaging and Storage: Packaged in 200kg iron drums, store away from light; this polyether is prone to moisture absorption and dampness, exposure to sunlight will affect its activity and the final foam performance, so it should be tightly sealed and stored in a dry and cool place. The shelf life is not less than 6 months. This product is not classified as hazardous.
